  1. There are three evolutionary hypotheses to explain menstruation. Choose one and briefly explain it.
  2. What are some interesting points about the history of PMS. Why might it be more of a problem in Western groups than other groups?
  3. Is nurturing behavior “natural” for human mothers? What is adaptive behavior in the context of the mother-infant relationship?
  4. How might bed-sharing be related to the risk of SIDS?
  5. How does the conceptualization and experience of menopause in Japan differ from that in Western countries?
  6. Please choose one more topic you thought was interesting from the chapter that you haven’t talked about yet. Describe biocultural connections related to the topic.
