Grading Information
North Seattle College uses a numeric grading scale. See the table below for how percentages or letter grades translate into the numeric scale. (This information is also included in the first module under Syllabus Guidelines and should appear in your course syllabus. After you've determined your student grades, it's time to log in to ctcLink and submit grades. Below is a link to step-by-step guides for activating your account (only need to do this once), checking your roster, and submitting grades. After arriving at the link, scroll down to Class Rosters and Waitlist and Grade Rosters for directions. You won't need any of the other ctcLink features.

Additional Information
For fall semester courses, grades sent to the CHS administrator at the end of the HS semester. Grades are posted manually by the Enrollment Services department. For spring semester and year-long courses, grades are submitted electronically through ctcLink. Grades awarded for college credit may be different from the grade the student is awarded by the high school. The grade for NSC credit follows the established grading policies that are provided to instructors during their orientation. A pass or fail grade is not an option for this program.
Should a student require an incomplete grade, the NSC procedure shall be followed. The policy requires an Incomplete Grade Form to be completed by the high school instructor with a detailed listing of necessary requirements for the removal of the incomplete grade. The form includes the student’s current grade. For fall semester courses, students must complete the requirements by the end of the NSC Spring Quarter. For year-long and spring semester courses, students must complete the requirements by the end of the following NSC Fall Quarter. If the grade is not changed, the original grade posted on the Incomplete Grade Form will be posted to the transcript. Grades are not mailed. Approximately 7-10 days after the end of the quarter students can access their grades through their college ctcLink account.
