The gradebook gives many options for working with individual assignments and assignment columns. These options appear when you click the three dots icon next to the name of an assignment in the gradebook.
Sort by
Use the 'Sort by' option to rearrange student order based on grade or assignment status. Check out Sorting for more information!
Message Students Who
The Message Students WhoLinks to an external site. function in the New Gradebook still works like it did before! Easily message students that haven't submitted, haven't been graded, or who scored above or below a specific score.
The Set Default GradeLinks to an external site. option gives all students the same grade for an assignment. You choose whether this overrides already entered grades. Example: If you had a participation assignment that only 3 out of 20 students did not complete, you could enter zeroes for the 3 who didn't finish and use the Set Default Grade feature to quickly give the remaining 17 students full credit.
Post Grades Options
The Post Grades option varies depending on whether you've set a post policy. Check out Grade Posting Policy & Hiding Grades for more information.
The Enter Grades asLinks to an external site. option allows you to toggle between entering grades as a point value or a percentage. Student scores remain point values; this is just for cases where you'd rather enter a percentage than manually calculate points.
