How do I install Zoom on Android devices?

• Visit your Play store and search for the Zoom App. Then, tap to install the App.

Once you have downloaded the Zoom App on your Android device. You will be able to use it whenever your instructor sends you a URL to join.

 

Note: Your instructor will give a Zoom URL to join a meeting. Your  instructor may send you an email through Canvas, you may see it on the course announcements, on the course calendar or in a location that your instructor will indicate to all students.

Every time your instructor gives you a Zoom URL you will click on it and your Zoom meeting will open on the App.

When you join a Zoom meeting via the Zoom App, you will be asked to:

1. Type your name
2. Choose if you want to receive notifications from Zoom
3. Choose to allow access to your microphone so other participants can hear you
4. Choose how you will hear other participants: Internet Audio, or Dial In

Once you are in the meeting, you will have some options (controls) to participate in the meeting. You will be able to see a list of participants, raise your hand if you have a question, etc.
